CONTRACTOR - Business Analyst-Credit Risk (Intermediate)

Contract: 1 year
Missions
- Lead end‑to‑end business analysis for regional and global Credit Risk initiatives, including requirements elicitation, workflow and process mapping, data discovery, and solution design aligned to strategic objectives.
- Lead requirements and operating‑level meetings, ensuring discussions are structured and decisions/actions are documented and shared.
- Conduct data analysis using SQL/Python to support requirements clarification, root‑cause investigations, solution validation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Produce high‑quality functional documentation, including workflow diagrams and user stories.
- Design, implement, and test ETL processes using low‑code tools or Python.
- Coordinate and execute testing activities across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments, including functional, regression, integration, and user‑acceptance testing.
- Participate in production deployments by validating changes, conducting smoke tests, and ensuring successful post‑deployment behavior.
- Participate in a rotating production support model involving monitoring, initial investigation of issues, and coordination with technical teams and users.
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes, enhance system functionality, eliminate recurring issues, and strengthen operational efficiency.
- Engage with architects and subject matter experts to help design robust solutions.
Profile
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, etc.).
- Analytical mindset, curiosity, and creative problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Professional experience in a bank or financial services organization, including hands‑on experience with risk systems or deal‑processing applications (SFTs, derivatives, commercial loans, etc.).
- Experience with referential systems and data for Client & Legal Entity, Master Agreements, and Product/Instruments.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing multi‑table joins and queries for analysis and testing.
- Ability to write clear documents, structured business communications, and user stories.
- Ability to read stored procedures and navigate relational data models.
- Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, flat files, XML, and Parquet sources.
- Experience implementing ETL/ELT processes.
- Python scripting experience for automation, troubleshooting, or data manipulation.
- Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments (command‑line analysis, script execution).
- Hands‑on experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of Credit Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk concepts.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Basel III / Basel IV regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with Power BI or comparable BI/reporting tools.
- Experience with no‑code/low‑code tools.
- Awareness of Azure cloud architecture fundamentals.
- Ability to support teams through on‑premise → Azure migration activities (inventorying dependencies, documenting data flows, identifying risks).
- Exposure to cloud analytics technologies such as Azure Synapse or Databricks.
- Familiarity with data lakes, lakehouses, and data‑warehouse architectures.
