About the Role
Ontra is seeking a Security Sales Engineer reporting to our Director, Sales Engineering.

We’re looking for someone excited to engage with clients and go-to-market teams, articulate and showcase Ontra's robust security posture, and expertly navigate the intricacies of security reviews and due diligence during presales and renewal cycles.

What You’ll Do
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers and GTM teams to convey and promote Ontra's security stance during presales and renewal phases through security reviews and due diligence.
- Questionnaire Management: Complete and manage security questionnaires and one-off inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely responses to support the sales process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with internal Product, Security, and Legal/Compliance teams to stay updated on current practices and obtain necessary information or answers.
- Intake Queue Prioritization: Work closely with GTM leaders to manage and prioritize the intake queue, ensuring efficient handling of customer security-related requests and inquiries.
- Information Dissemination: Effectively present and communicate security information and updates to both customers and internal stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
- Knowledge Upkeep: Continuously update and refine knowledge of security protocols and industry standards to maintain high-quality customer interactions and support.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 8+ years in the industry, with 3+ years specifically as a Sales Engineer.
- Certification Requirements: Possession of CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is highly desired.
- Cloud Security Certification: Having a CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) is considered a plus.
- SaaS Knowledge: Must have experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Security Standards Familiarity: Should be familiar with SOC2 report formats and generally accepted security baselines and standards such as FedRamp, ISO27k, PCIDSS, OWASP, and CAIQ.

Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable compensation, profits interest units, or other equity-based compensation, which are not included in the below base pay range.
