As a Senior Cinematics Designer, you will collaborate with writers, artists, and animators to create visually stunning and emotionally impactful cinematic sequences. Your expertise will help set the tone and elevate the overall quality of the narrative experience within the game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and implement cinematic sequences that align with the game's narrative vision and aesthetic style.
- Collaborate closely with writers and directors to translate storyboards and scripts into compelling motion and visual storytelling.
- Integrate cinematics into the game, ensuring smooth transitions, optimal pacing, and a seamless player experience.
- Work with the animation team to oversee the production of character performances and camera work that enhance the cinematic experience.
Requirements
- A strong portfolio showcasing previous cinematic work, including experience.
- Proven experience shipping AAA titles in a Cinematics, Automotive Film, or equivalent role.
- Strong understanding of cinematic language, camera theory, pacing, and composition.
- Solid technical awareness — blueprints, state machines, gameplay integration.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for video games and storytelling, with a keen eye for detail.
Desirable:
- Experience in working on AAA titles.
- Knowledge of animation and motion capture to inform cinematic decisions.
- Solid experience of pre-render pipelines.
- Proficient in the use of Adobe CC, Premiere and After Effects.
