The Senior Communication Officer is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that strengthen Tawfeer’s brand positioning, ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels, and support business growth initiatives. The role oversees corporate, retail, digital, and private label communications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines while enhancing stakeholder engagement, public reputation, and internal alignment across all branches.
Communication Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with Tawfeer’s business and marketing objectives.
- Ensure brand voice consistency across all platforms, channels, and customer touchpoints.
- Coordinate messaging for new store openings, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and corporate announcements.
- Conduct regular communication audits to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Corporate & External Communications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and external partners.
- Oversee public relations initiatives with PR agency to enhance brand reputation.
- Monitor public perception through media tracking and manage crisis communication when required.
Internal Communications
- Develop and manage structured internal communication channels to ensure alignment across all retail branches.
- Prepare internal newsletters, announcements, leadership messages.
- Support HR in employer branding initiatives, employee engagement campaigns.
Retail & Campaign Communication Support
- Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, and Operations teams to communicate promotional campaigns effectively across all stores.
- Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of campaign guidelines, visual standards, and key messages to store managers.
- Oversee in-store communication materials (POS displays, posters, signage) to ensure content and messaging alignment with brand standards.
Digital & Content Oversight
- Supervise content creation for the corporate website, social media platforms, SMS campaigns, and email marketing.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all digital channels in coordination with the Digital Marketing team.
- Monitor communication performance metrics (engagement, reach, sentiment) and propose data-driven improvements.
Brand Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all internal and external communications adhere to Tawfeer’s brand guidelines and corporate identity standards.
- Review and approve all communication materials before publication or distribution.
Private Label Product Communications
- Coordinate with external creative agency on the execution of the communication strategy for Tawfeer’s private label (PL) products, ensuring a smooth brand transition across all customer touchpoints.
- Support the development of brand narratives, messaging frameworks, and positioning statements for PL products in collaboration with the agency, product development and commercial team.
- Execute in-store launch activations for private label product lines, including coordinating POS materials, signage, sampling setups, and visual merchandising communication elements.
- Liaise with the agency to ensure digital campaign assets (social media, website) are delivered on time and aligned with launch schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus
- 6–8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or brand communications, preferably within the retail or FMCG sector.
