It’s what we do best, and we do it to meet the demands of the road every day.
That’s why people join us: our solutions are implemented in real-time, on highways and interstates across the nation, helping fleets go farther, faster. This work challenges and rewards, presenting complex problems that need ambitious answers. We hire bold thinkers with a heart for impact, a passion for progress, and the optimism to shape the future of transportation.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior HR Generalist to join our HR team and help elevate the employee experience for 500+ team members. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you'll be a trusted partner to employees and leaders alike — handling everything from onboarding and employee relations to compliance and process improvement.
This is a role for someone who doesn't wait to be asked. You spot what needs fixing, you build what's missing, and you bring people along with you.
What You'll Do
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to design and deliver effective onboarding plans.
- Facilitate engaging New Employee Orientations (NEO).
- Train new leaders on HR systems, including ADP, Workable, Lattice, and Cornerstone.
Employee Relations & HR Partnership
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns — triaging, investigating, and resolving issues with care and consistency.
- Administer the progressive disciplinary process, including write-ups and PIPs.
- Partner with leaders to navigate employee relations matters and employment-related questions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (payroll) and external vendors (brokers, ADP) to resolve issues.
- Provide clear, practical guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to HR workflows and the overall employee experience.
- Leverage tools and technology — including AI — to drive efficiency across HR operations.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Compliance & HR Programs
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare and manage compliance reporting (EEO-1, 5500, audits, etc.).
- Develop HR communications, presentations, and materials.
- Participate in culture and employee engagement initiatives.
Benefits, Leave & Accommodations
- Manage qualifying life events and benefits updates.
- Assist with resolving benefit issues.
- Support leave of absence and ADA accommodation requests in partnership with the HR Generalist.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
- Experience with HRIS and people platforms (ADP, Workable, Lattice, Cornerstone).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine drive to improve processes and the employee experience.
Who You Are
- A natural problem-solver with a process improvement mindset.
- Skilled at prioritizing across competing demands — urgent vs. important vs. later.
- Approachable and trusted by employees and leaders at all levels.
- Confident giving guidance and, when needed, delivering corrective feedback.
- Curious, proactive, and always looking to grow.
