NextGen Federal Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Logistician to provide comprehensive logistics, property accountability, and COMSEC support to our Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The selected candidate will manage material life cycle functions, acquisition support, transportation coordination, and warehouse operations within a secure mission environment.
This position will require occasional travel to the DC/Northern Virginia area)
Senior Logistician
Provide administrative support in the development of requirements and documentation for government acquisition of equipment Conduct market research with DoD organizations and commercial vendors specializing in detection, collection, and related technologies Maintain accurate inventories of all accountable equipment and property Manage accounts in the Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System (FACTS) and serve as an Alternate Activity Support Coordinator (AASC) for assigned property Schedule and execute periodic maintenance for equipment; manage and update equipment and spare parts databases Purchase mission-related equipment, software, and expendable items Generate and coordinate shipping load-outs using commercial and military transportation systems Facilitate and certify transportation of equipment and supplies (hazardous and non-hazardous), including MILAIR standards Provide support for material management, supply program implementation, property accountability, stock record control, and requisition processing Assist in preparation of logistics guidance, clarifications, and reporting requirements Support preparation of Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (DD Form 200) documentation Review and assist with Material Inspection & Receiving Reports (DD250) and Requisition & Invoice/Shipping Documents (DD1149) to ensure accuracy and completeness Support receiving, inspecting, inventorying, loading, unloading, storing, issuing, delivering, turning in, and disposal of organizational supplies and equipment Coordinate with leadership to manage material life cycle maintenance, including procurement, sustainment, inventory control, and upgrade recommendations Support warehouse operations including organization, storage, accountability, and preservation of supplies and equipment Assist with warehouse badging and access system support Courier classified and unclassified materials between locations in accordance with security protocols Track Purchase Requests and route through the Project Manager for government review Provide back-up support to Communications Specialist as required
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in DoD logistics and COMSEC support Demonstrated experience in property accountability, supply chain management, and warehouse operations Experience managing equipment inventories and life cycle maintenance Familiarity with FACTS and related property accountability systems Knowledge of hazardous material shipping requirements and MILAIR transportation procedures Experience preparing and reviewing DD200, DD250, and DD1149 documentation Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple logistics priorities in a secure, high-tempo environment Interim SECRET clearance required to start; must be eligible for TS/SCI
