Job Summary:
OU Education Services is seeking a Senior Paid Media Strategist to lead the strategy, execution, and performance of paid media across OU Online’s portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Media, this role is responsible for driving measurable results through expert channel strategy, disciplined optimization, and data-informed decision making.
The Senior Paid Media Strategist will be a hands-on operator who shapes and executes paid media strategy across Meta, Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn. This role requires deep platform fluency, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to move quickly from insight to action.
This is a senior individual contributor role with high ownership, clear accountability for outcomes, and meaningful influence on OU Online’s growth strategy.
What You’ll Do:
· Own paid media strategy, performance oversight, and KPI management across Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and LinkedIn Ads
· Serve as the primary point of contact for paid media agencies, while retaining ultimate ownership on strategy, priorities, and outcomes
· Assess campaign performance against defined KPIs such as CPL, conversion rate, and lead quality, and drive corrective action when needed
· Set channel level strategy, audience approach, creative testing frameworks, and bidding direction across platforms
· Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights, decisions, and next steps for internal stakeholders
· Partner with internal creative, analytics, and web teams to improve messaging, landing pages, and conversion paths
· Lead paid media planning, forecasting, and budget allocation across channels in alignment with demand and enrollment goals
· Stay current on platform changes, best practices, and industry trends, and apply these insights to improve performance
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience
· 5+ years of demonstrated success managing campaigns directly within platforms across paid social and paid search, with deep expertise in Meta and Google Ads
· Deep understanding of how paid media performance drives business outcomes, including lead quality, applications, and starts
· Demonstrated ability to set ambitious goals, evaluate results rigorously, and drive continuous performance improvement
· Strong communicator who can clearly articulate priorities, make decisions, and align internal teams and external partners around performance outcomes
· You’ll be especially successful in this role if you have experience with:
· Demonstrated experience managing paid media for higher education institutions across multiple programs or portfolios
· Performance reporting and analysis using GA4, Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools
· Supporting offline conversion tracking, enhanced conversions, or CRM-integrated measurement
