As a Senior Product Engineer, you will own the end-to-end development of backend services in Scala, managing everything from core banking systems to global flight rewards, while shaping the engineering culture of a fast-growing startup.

What you will do:

• Build and scale production-grade microservices using Scala and Kafka to power real-time payments and rewards.

• Design resilient, event-driven architectures and RESTful APIs that integrate with internal systems and external lifestyle partners.

• Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance across the stack.

The ideal candidate:

• Expert-level proficiency in Scala with a deep understanding of functional programming patterns and event-driven architectures like Kafka.

• Extensive experience building and operating distributed microservices within cloud environments, specifically GCP and Kubernetes.

• A product-first mindset that prioritizes solving customer problems and delivering business value over technical perfection in isolated silos.
