The Mission
Paytm Money’s Mutual Funds mission is simple (and hard): make Paytm Money the default destination for MF investing — not just for the first SIP, but for everyday investing decisions across a user’s life.
This role is for a true investing enthusiast + a consumer conversion nerd who can take complex investing journeys and turn them into clear, trustworthy, high-converting experiences — from pitching mutual funds to new users, to helping existing investors rebalance, optimize, and grow with sharp portfolio insights.You will own a meaningful part of the MF product charter end-to-end: discovery → onboarding → investing → portfolio → insights → actions (add SIP, switch, redeem, rebalance).
What You’ll Own1)
1) Build the best consumer MF journeys in India
* Simplify investing for first-time users: right cues, right education, right trust-building, right nudges
* Improve end-to-end flows: KYC → bank mandate → SIP setup → payments → folio creation → success assurance
* Turn Paytm Money into the “daily destination” where users come to track, learn, decide, and act
2) Drive conversion like a consumer internet product leader
*Own funnel metrics: activation, conversion, drop-offs, payment success, mandate success, first investment, repeat investment, retention
* Run experimentation with strong hypotheses and clean measurement (A/B tests, cohort tracking, segmentation)
* Work closely with growth + design to ship high-impact nudges, campaigns, and lifecycle journeys
3) Make portfolio insights + rebalancing truly useful (and actionable)
* Build “so good users can’t ignore it” portfolio views: holdings, performance, XIRR, goal progress, risk, diversification
* Create action layers: rebalance suggestions, SIP top-ups, fund switches (regular→direct where applicable), add diversification, reduce overlap, risk alignment
* Improve trust + clarity: explain “why” in simple language with transparency
4) Execute fast with strong cross-functional leadership
*Drive alignment and execution across Engineering, Design, Data/Analytics, Growth/CRM, Compliance, Ops, Business
* Write crisp PRDs, define requirements, edge cases, instrumentation, and release plans
* Ensure product health: monitor errors, success rates, regressions, and resolve fast
Responsibilities (What You’ll Do Day-to-Day)
*Translate MF business goals into user problems + product bets
* Define roadmap, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver in tight cycles
* Create product specs that remove ambiguity for tech/design/data
* Deep-dive into user behavior via analytics + user feedback + support signals
* Set up dashboards and operating rhythms to track product health and growth
* Benchmark best-in-class consumer and investing products; bring sharp ideas with context.
What We’re Looking For:-
Must-haves
* Strong consumer product + conversion mindset (funnels, comprehension, growth loops)
* Comfort with data: SQL / dashboards / experimentation frameworks (or equivalent working depth)
* Strong execution: ability to drive outcomes across teams without formal authority
* Ability to simplify complex flows into intuitive and trustworthy UX
* High ownership, speed, clarity, and bias for shipping
Good-to-haves (Big plus)
* Personal interest in investing / mutual funds (you track markets, you invest, you’re curious)
* Experience in fintech / consumer internet at scale
* Familiarity with MF concepts (SIP, NAV, XIRR, risk, allocation, diversification, overlap, categories)
* Understanding of compliance-sensitive UX and regulated journeys.
Experience Level
* Typically 2–6 years in Product Management (flexible for exceptional internal candidates with proven impact)
* Strong track record of shipping consumer-facing products and improving key metrics
Success Looks Like (6–12 months)
*Higher MF activation + SIP setup conversion, lower drop-offs
* Strong improvements in payment/mandate/transaction success rates
* Higher repeat investments and retention of MF investors
* Paytm Money becomes the place users open to understand their portfolio and take the next best action.
