About the Role
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Hevo, you’ll be the technical authority in the sales cycle—partnering with Account Executives to accelerate deal closure. You’ll deeply understand a prospect’s data stack, identify gaps, and demonstrate how Hevo solves complex data integration challenges at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical discovery to map customer data architecture, sources, targets, volumes, and latency needsDeliver tailored, high-impact product demos aligned to customer use casesDesign and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and trials; own technical validation and success criteriaSupport RFIs/RFPs with clear, accurate technical responsesAct as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teamsCollaborate with Customer Success for smooth post-sale handoffsBuild and maintain technical sales assets (demo flows, best practices, playbooks)Support AEs with technical sales strategies to improve win rates and sales velocity
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre-Sales role in B2B SaaSStrong experience in data integration, ETL/ELT, analytics, or BI platformsHands-on knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and REST APIs (Must Have)Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholdersStrong problem-solving, solution design, and communication skillsComfortable working US hours from office (6 PM – 3 AM IST)Experience with other ETL/ELT tools or iPaaS platforms (Nice to Have)Familiarity with the Hevo platform or a similar no-code/low-code integration platform (Nice to Have)Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, SQL) for advanced demos or PoCs (Nice to Have)
