Accounting Manager

Role Purpose

• We are seeking a talented and motivated Accountant to take on a new Accounting Manager role in our Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Pune. This is a key role within the Finance function, responsible for setting up and delivering high-quality accounting and assurance activities to Financial controllers and accountants in Europe and across EXA Infrastructure’s footprint.
• The role will build out a GL accounting team of 4+ and deliver a high quality of accounting and support to accountants and controllers across the EXA footprint.      High-quality month-end closes and balance sheet reconciliations are key, this role will help maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Group’s financial reporting.  The role will also seek to automate manual process and support the re-implementation of the Oracle ERP in 2026.

Main Responsibilities

• Establish, lead, and develop a General Ledger (GL) accounting team of 4+ within the Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Pune
• Deliver high-quality accounting services and assurance support to financial controllers and accounting teams across EXA Infrastructure’s European and global footprint
• Own and oversee accurate and timely month-end close processes, ensuring adherence to group timetables and quality standards
• Ensure completion and review of robust balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining strong controls and audit-ready documentation
• Safeguard the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Group’s financial records and reporting
• Act as a key point of contact for accounting queries, providing technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders
• Drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement of accounting processes, reducing manual effort and operational risk
• Support and contribute to the re-implementation of the Oracle ERP system planned for 2026
• Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Audit teams to ensure alignment and effective financial control
• Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely resolution of findings and implementation of improvements
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation in line with Group standards
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, promoting a culture of learning, accountability, and high performance

Individual Profile

• Qualified and experienced accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing General Ledger (GL) accounting teams
• Hands-on approach to delivering high-quality accounting outputs, including month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail with a robust financial control and assurance mindset
• Experience working within a Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) or shared services environment
• Ability to partner effectively with financial controllers and accountants across multiple geographies
• Comfortable operating in a complex, international organisation with European and global stakeholders
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of group financial reporting
• Proactive in identifying opportunities to automate, standardise, and improve manual accounting processes
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Oracle, and exposure to system implementations or re-implementations
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior team members
• Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to grow within a supportive, learning-focused environment
