Welcome to Brightline! We are searching for a Senior/Staff Product Designer who will drive user understanding, craft our member and provider product experiences, and contribute to scalable design systems. You will own high-complexity, end-to-end design initiatives that impact our coaches, clinicians, and families, creating elegant, scalable designs that serve our mission and business objectives.
Define strategic impact: Lead design projects that fundamentally improve the efficacy of our clinical operations and member outcomes. You will connect digital and in-person workflows to ensure a cohesive, high-quality experience across the entire user journey.
Deepen user understanding. Advance our culture of user feedback and keen understanding of the kids, families, clinicians, and staff we serve. Be relentless in finding empathetic solutions that meet user needs, synthesizing insights and tying them back to the big picture.
Architect product vision collaboratively: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Care Teams, and Marketing to articulate forward-leaning solutions grounded in deep user insights and empathy.
Craft well-loved designs: Roll-up your sleeves to create inspired workflows and prototypes, iteratively validate designs with users, and partner with engineering to deliver delightful solutions. Contribute to our design system to develop beautiful and consistent design patterns.
Establish design criteria and metrics: Establish measurable criteria for our user experience to learn and improve designs and assess how well they are achieving our objectives.
Champion a culture of design: Be an advocate for design excellence by elevating design thinking and high-quality design standards across the company.
Undergraduate degree required; a related graduate degree (Human-computer interaction, Design, etc.) is a plus.
Mission-Driven: A deep passion for redefining behavioral health for children and their families.
Cultural Leadership: A humble, collaborative attitude and a commitment to mentoring junior designers and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Exceptional Communication: Outstanding ability to articulate design rationales, strategy, and vision to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional skills in cross-functional partnership, with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders
Deep Experience: 8+ years of experience designing complex digital products and scalable systems, preferably in a high-growth or regulated environment.
High Autonomy: You operate with a high degree of independence. Your work is reviewed primarily for alignment with long-term business objectives rather than daily execution.
Complexity Management: An innate ability to navigate highly complex clinical flows and identify systemic edge cases before they impact the user.
Startup Mindset: Self-initiated drive to identify gaps and jump into all aspects of design and strategy as required in a fast-paced environment.
