About the role
As a ServiceNow Platform Engineer, your primary focus will be on the design, configuration, optimisation, and ongoing evolution of the ServiceNow platform. This role is centred on ensuring the platform delivers real business value—supporting operational efficiency, automation, and scalable service management across the organisation.
You will work closely with technology, operations, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions, and ensure the platform is configured and governed to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to specialise deeply in ServiceNow while operating in a complex, enterprise-scale environment.
Responsibilities
Own and contribute to the development, configuration, and optimisation of the ServiceNow platformDesign and implement ServiceNow solutions that support ITSM and wider enterprise workflowsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow configurationsConfigure workflows, business rules, forms, UI policies, and integrations within ServiceNowSupport platform governance, best practices, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure platform stability, performance, security, and maintainabilityAssist with upgrades, releases, and change management related to the ServiceNow platformProvide technical guidance and support to users and teams interacting with ServiceNowContribute to documentation and knowledge sharing around platform usage and standards
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform in a production environmentProven experience configuring and supporting ServiceNow modules (e.g. ITSM or related areas)Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture, workflows, and configuration best practicesExperience translating business and operational requirements into ServiceNow solutionsComfortable working in a large, structured organisation with multiple stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailClear communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have
Experience with additional ServiceNow modules beyond core ITSMExposure to integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systemsExperience supporting ServiceNow in regulated or enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with ServiceNow upgrade cycles, release management, or platform governanceServiceNow certifications (e.g. CSA or module-specific certifications)
