Location: Based at our Warrington Warehouse on Omega South WA5 3TZ (this is a site based role)
Hours: We can explore flexible working patterns that would fit both business and your personal needs. With regular flex to support nights (twilight or early hours)
Pay: £15.90 per hour
We have an exciting opportunity for an L&D Shift Coach Team Leader to join our People Operations Team at our Warrington site, reporting to the site Operational Training Lead. You will be part of a team dedicated to building technical and behavioural capability through high-quality training and coaching.
In this role, you will lead and develop our Shift Coach team to deliver consistent on-the-job training. You’ll be a key partner to our operations, helping to ensure everyone on site has the skills and knowledge they need to succeed safely and effectively. Success in this role means driving a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence while ensuring our training records remain accurate and compliant.
Core Responsibilities
Lead, support, and develop the Shift Coach team to deliver effective on-the-job training and coaching
Deliver practical training across all operational areas to ensure colleagues achieve competence safely
Co-ordinate site inductions for new colleagues, embedding key knowledge and behaviours from day one
Facilitate annual and refresher learning modules, including Health & Safety and inclusion-focused sessions
Partner with agency providers to ensure compliance with legal training requirements and support for all learners
Collaborate with the Operational Training Lead to prioritise training needs in line with site goals
Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation for all site-based colleagues
Manage payments for external training providers using the company finance system
Analyse learning data to identify trends and opportunities for further improvement
Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Food Technical teams to align learning with site priorities
Who You Are
Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others within a manufacturing or production environment
Skilled at delivering clear instructions and feedback to diverse audiences
Ability to build confidence in others through supportive, hands-on coaching
Comfortable using digital tools and systems to track and improve training outcomes
Strong collaborative skills with a track record of partnering across different teams
Proactive approach to problem-solving and driving continuous improvement
Ability to adapt coaching styles to meet the needs of different learners
Knowledge of Health & Safety, quality assurance, and production processes
