Overview of the Role
The role of an SMSF Accountant is to work with the SMSF team in an accounting practice to support core administration and back-office tasks, in accordance with client preferences and licensee policies and guidelines.
Main duties include:
- CLASS update management for unlisted investments
- Managing transaction processing in Class Software
- Assist the Associates in SMSF or Trust Establishment paperwork
- Collect and manage all FY statements Prepare draft financials and tax returns in Class software
- Provide regular communication to clients on work in progress and expected turnaround time for documentation.
- Ensure the client’s Business Process Meeting Checklist (manual) is current and up to date
Requirements
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Management Accounting, Accounting Technology or any related courses
- With at least 2 years working in SMSF Admin/accounting space
- Ability to competently use a full range of Accounting Software products including:
- SMSF experience using Class Super
- Xero
- The ability to communicate (written and verbal) with clients in a clear, concise and effective manner
- Able to work under pressure and meet timelines.
- Motivation to complete tasks to the highest standard within required deadlines
