We’re looking for a creative and highly hands-on Social Media & Marketing Specialist to support marketing efforts across Oliver & Bonacini’s Events & Catering portfolio. This role is execution-focused and collaborative, supporting campaign rollouts, social media management, content creation, and on-site event coverage.
Working closely with the broader Marketing team and Events & Catering stakeholders, this role supports campaign execution through thoughtful content, timely digital updates, and consistent storytelling across platforms. This is an ideal opportunity for a developing marketer with strong social media and content instincts who enjoys being on the ground at events and contributing to a wide range of marketing initiatives.
This full-time position is based in our downtown Toronto office and requires regular on-site presence at venues, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
Marketing & Social Media
- Manage day-to-day publishing and upkeep of Events & Catering social media channels, including scheduling posts, community management, and performance tracking
- Create and publish social content across Events & Catering channels, including corporate and event venue-specific accounts
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns for Events & Catering, including seasonal promotions, venue spotlights, menu rollouts, and new venue launches
- Assist with maintaining marketing calendars and coordinating timelines with the Marketing and Event Sales teams
- Update and maintain venue web pages and promotional content across O&B websites
- Assist with maintaining and updating internal websites and external listings (e.g., Eventsource, Unique Venues) to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assist with coordinating marketing materials and supporting logistics across Events & Catering initiatives.
Content Creation & Event Coverage
- Capture social-first photo and video content on-site at Events & Catering events and activations
- Assist with content coverage for premium events, ongoing programming, seasonal menu launches etc.
- Work with Event Specialists and the Marketing team to identify content opportunities and priorities
- Edit and adapt short-form content for social platforms, ensuring assets align with brand and platform standards
- Write and adapt copy for social media, websites, digital listings, and marketing materials
- Help organize, tag, and maintain a shared library of event, venue, and catering imagery and video
- Support professional photo and video shoots by assisting with shot lists, on-site coordination, and asset management
Market Research & Reporting
- Assist with tracking social media and campaign performance metrics
- Support post-campaign reporting and recap documentation
- Conduct light consumer and competitor research within the events and catering space
- Stay informed on social media, event, and hospitality trends and flag relevant insights to the team
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, social media, communications, or digital content creation
- Hands-on experience creating, editing, and publishing content for social media platforms
- Comfortable capturing photo and video content in live event environments
- Strong writing skills with attention to brand voice and detail
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as required for events
- Experience with WordPress or CMS platforms is an asset
- Basic photo or video editing skills (mobile or desktop) are a plus
- Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn within a fast-paced team
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
