We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern to join our software quality assurance team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, including manual testing and exposure to test automation tools and processes. Under the guidance of experienced QA engineers, the intern will assist in creating and executing test cases, identifying bugs, documenting issues, and helping ensure software quality across various platforms.

The Mom's Meals Summer Internship Program is a paid project-based 12-week program running May 18, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Our internship program provides interns with the training, coaching, and hands-on experience to be successful professionals in their chosen fields. Internship assignments focus on practical, value-added projects that create a connection between what is learned in the classroom and what is required in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
This is an onsite position in our headquarters in Ankeny, IA. Candidates should be local to the Des Moines/Ames, IA area since no relocation assistance or housing stipend is offered.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
Assist in creating test cases and executing manual test scenarios
Work with QA team members to verify software functionality based on requirements
Help document bugs, software issues, and test results
Participate in regression testing and retesting of resolved issues
Support test planning and scheduling activities under supervision
Collaborate with software developers and team members to understand project goals
Gain exposure to automation testing tools and contribute to simple test scripts
Learn and apply QA best practices and methodologies in a real-world environment
Required Skills and Experience
College junior level or higher at time of internship
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher
Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, SQL
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Eagerness to develop technical skills and contribute to a fast-paced development environment
