The Role:
ElevateBio is looking for a talented, detailed oriented, Commercial Operations Proposal Specialist to drive new and existing business partnership deliverables at BaseCamp. The Commercial Operations Specialist will be responsible for independently drafting proposals, change orders, approval memos and Statements of Work, maintaining the partner inquiry response database and supporting initiatives to generate new business for BaseCamp’s ongoing activities. A candidate for this role must have a background in process development, manufacturing, quality, or CMC.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Independent authoring of proposals, change orders, memos and Statements of Work (SOW) under supervision within the Commercial team, including:
- Evaluate new project requests and prioritize response in collaboration with commercial development and operation teams
- Respond to partner request for information (RFI) including questionnaires
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain information from key stakeholders and subject matter experts to generate tailored custom proposals. Proposals will include relevant technical, budget and timeline information designed to meet partner specific program needs
- Partner with project management and operations team to generate Statement of Work or other contract documents as needed to support ongoing project needs
- Author Change Orders (CO) and Client Approval Memos
- Develop and maintain standard proposal and SOW templates with a regular cadence for improvements
- Maintain contract database for signed contracts, pricing and questionnaires.
- Support contract generation process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop a strong understanding of BaseCamp service offerings and competitive differentiation to support sales team in new lead generation and market research, as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a scientific discipline or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of CMC technical experience within cell and gene therapy required with contract manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Specifically, understanding technology transfer and the activities associated with it. Including the interdependencies of those activities, general responsibilities of sponsor vs CDMO, and phase appropriate requirements
- Understanding of process flow diagrams and analytical testing requirements
- Ability to independently execute highly detailed technical documentation without extensive cross functional review (i.e. proposals, SOWs, change order)
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- Proficiency with MS office (Excel, Word, Teams, etc) particularly in Word formatting and using templates
- Experience working within a CRM (Hubspot or Saleforce, for example) preferred but not required
- Relevant proposal/project management experience preferred but not required
- General understanding of legal terms and agreement frameworks
- Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
The budgeted range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
