As a Staff Engineer at Vocca.ai, you will lead the technical evolution of a platform revolutionizing medical practice communications. You will architect high-performance, healthcare-grade systems capable of handling millions of automated calls while ensuring absolute security and reliability. This is a foundational leadership role shaping both technical architecture and engineering culture.

What you will do:

• Architect and scale healthcare-grade systems designed to manage millions of concurrent calls with low latency and high reliability.

• Establish the foundational engineering culture at Vocca, defining best practices for system design, code quality, and technical documentation.

• Mentor senior engineers and lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure the platform remains secure, compliant, and performant as the user base grows.

The ideal candidate:

• Extensive experience building and scaling high-availability distributed systems, ideally within healthcare or other highly regulated sectors.

• Proven track record of leading complex architectural transitions and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Deep expertise in modern backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and security protocols required for handling sensitive medical data.
