Internship Overview
The Human Resources Intern will support key initiatives across the HR function, with a primary focus on talent acquisition and recruiting operations. Working closely with HR Business Partners, this paid internship will offer hands‑on exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle, building practical skills in candidate sourcing, recruiting strategy & operations, and candidate experience enhancements for a global, 600-person organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive self‑starter with a passion for recruiting who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to learn by doing. This internship will be onsite four days per week (Monday - Thursday).
Job Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (~70%)
Participate across the full recruitment lifecycle, including requisition intake, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support
Partner closely with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to support active hiring needs across designated roles and teams.
Conduct market and candidate research to inform sourcing strategies, outreach messaging, and candidate engagement initiatives.
Recruiting Operations (~30%)
Support the optimization and ongoing maintenance of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including pipeline management, data quality audits, and recruiting workflow improvements.
Assist in strengthening interview and selection practices by developing structured interview guides, standardized feedback tools, and hiring‑manager recruiting resources.
Analyze recruiting metrics and processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall candidate experience.
Requirements:
- Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in talent acquisition, sourcing strategy, and recruiting operations, with a desire to gain hands‑on experience across the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Ability to support candidate sourcing initiatives, including outreach messaging, resume review, and response tracking.
- Comfortable working with data, systems, and process documentation to support ATS optimization and recruiting process improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional candidate and hiring‑manager communications.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR Business Partners, recruiters, hiring managers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately within an HR environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Coursework or prior internship experience related to human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or organizational development preferred.
- Familiarity with or interest in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies (LinkedIn, etc); prior exposure is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, synthesize findings, and present recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort working in shared collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track metrics such as sourcing response rates and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing resumes, interview feedback, and recruiting documentation.
- Self‑starter with a proactive approach to learning and improving recruiting processes over the course of the internship.
