Bullfinch Recruitment

Talent Partner (Isle of Man)

Bullfinch Recruitment Douglas, IM Today

Overview
We’re looking for a driven Talent Partner who sees recruitment not just as a job, but as a craft to master. This role is for someone who’s ready to immerse themselves in the hunt for top talent, treating candidate sourcing as both a challenge and a sport. You’ll learn from experienced recruiters while sharpening the skills needed to run and own full recruitment cycles and deliver impact for clients. This is a rare entry point into international recruitment from the island, working with clients across the UK, Europe and beyond.

We’re less interested in where you’ve been on paper, and far more interested in how you think, learn, and show up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relentlessly source and engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and creative channels — finding the profiles others miss.
  • Support end-to-end contingent and retained recruitment processes across a variety of disciplines, with increasing ownership over time.
  • Screen CVs, conduct structured first calls, and track everything with care and attention in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Own candidate and client communications to ensure a professional, high-touch experience.
  • Provide market research and talent mapping to help shape client strategies.
  • Work alongside senior recruiters on prioritisation of roles, building shortlists, and completing searches.
  • Contribute to weekly reporting and share pipeline insights.

Marketing & personal brand contribution

Bullfinch is moving toward a more visible, personality-driven recruitment model. Alongside your core recruitment responsibilities, you’ll contribute to marketing through authentic, consistent presence — both online and eventually offline at industry events.

You don’t need to be a content creator on day one. What matters is willingness, curiosity, and showing your work. Over time, you’ll help shape the Bullfinch voice and help amplify our message externally.

You can expect to:

  • Share regular insights from your world: recruitment wins, challenges, market trends, and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to Bullfinch’s content engine through short posts, talent spotlights, or reflections from your day-to-day work.
  • Contribute to podcasts or longer-form content over time, sharing insights alongside senior team members when ready.
  • Build your personal brand on LinkedIn with guidance and templates from our marketing team.
  • Experiment with formats that suit you:
    • carousels
    • short-form videos
    • graphics and micro-insights
    • AI-enhanced content
    • or simple, authentic written updates
  • Collaborate with marketing on weekly campaign ideas, role highlights, or candidate/client stories.
  • Represent Bullfinch at iGaming and tech events (when you feel ready), meeting clients and colleagues in person.

About You

  • 1–2 years’ experience in recruitment, sales, or people-driven roles is preferred.
  • You don’t need a background in this; we’ll teach you the craft. What matters is hunger, drive, and learning speed.
  • You have a competitive streak. It’s likely you like to win at things, whether that’s filling the hardest role or outpacing the market in response time.
  • Confident communicator with the resilience to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Naturally curious: you enjoy digging deep into markets, networks, and profiles to uncover opportunities.
  • You’re excited by how AI is reshaping work and curious about how it can give recruiters an edge.
  • Comfortable investing curiosity and energy beyond strict job boundaries — recruitment is a career you want to master.
  • Motivated to build long-term relationships with candidates and clients alike.

How to apply

We’re not looking for a traditional CV.

Instead, we’re interested in how you think, communicate, and approach problems.

To apply, send us one short submission that helps us understand:

  • Who you are
  • What’s drawn you to recruitment
  • Why this role at Bullfinch caught your attention
  • What you want from your career

You can do this in a format that suits you:

  • A short written note
  • A Loom or video introduction (either upload or use the steps below)
  • A voice note
  • A Canva style visual
  • Or another creative format that reflects how you think

There’s no “right” answer. We’re more interested in clarity, curiosity, and intent than polish.
