Tax & Finance Operations Project Manager

We are looking for a professional who will coordinate tax and finance projects in a corporate / Shared Service Center environment. The role combines project coordination, cooperation with external advisors, and ownership of budgets, timelines, and compliance.
YOU WILL
- Coordinate tax and finance projects, including timelines, RACI, dashboards, status updates, and dependencies.
- Monitor project budgets and spending, track variances, and support cost control.
- Organize communication: meetings, agendas, minutes, action tracking, and escalation of risks and issues.
- Maintain project documentation, contracts, invoices, and compliance-related records.
- Work cross-functionally with Tax, Accounting (A2R), Controlling, Treasury, and other corporate teams.
- Coordinate external vendors (e.g. consulting firms, law firms), including invoice review, approval, and timely payment.
- Identify tax-related risks and support governance and control frameworks.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives (e.g. SAP, RPA, tax tools).
- Prepare analyses and reports to support management decision-making.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure timely updates to processes and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in tax or finance operations or project coordination, preferably in an international or SSC environment.
- Solid understanding of finance processes and corporate governance.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working with external advisors and service providers, including billing and contract administration.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work in cross-functional, matrix organizations.
- Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and data analysis (including Excel).
- Very good command of English.
- Familiarity with project management tools and basic project management methodologies.
- Nice to have: experience with SAP or Oracle, tax/compliance tools, finance or tax transformation projects, knowledge of Polish and international tax regulations (OECD/BEPS), and project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2).
