Terrace Grille Busser - Bar Harbor Inn and Spa

The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa is seeking a Busser to join our Terrace Grille team, where you’ll play an essential role in creating a clean, welcoming, and efficient dining experience for our guests.

In this role, you’ll support the front-of-house team by maintaining table cleanliness, resetting dining areas, and assisting with overall service flow. Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-Time, Seasonal (Spring–Fall)

• Shifts: Vary and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Location: Bar Harbor Inn and Spa – Terrace Grille

Key Responsibilities:

• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently to maintain smooth service flow

• Assist servers by refilling water, delivering bread, and supporting guest needs

• Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, patio, and service stations

• Remove dishes, glassware, and utensils and transport them to dishwashing areas

• Keep service areas stocked with necessary supplies (silverware, glassware, napkins, etc.)

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the dining space

• Support the team to ensure guests receive prompt and attentive service

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required

• Strong work ethic and ability to stay active throughout the shift

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail

• Ability to lift trays, bus tubs, and equipment as needed

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

Performance Measurement:

Success in this role will be measured by efficiency, cleanliness standards, teamwork, and contribution to an exceptional guest dining experience.
