The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the stock handling and order processing activities in our Melbourne warehouse. This includes the prompt receiving of goods as they arrive at our facility to ensure they are allocated for customer orders in a timely fashion. The role requires strong interpersonal skills as they will be collaborating with other departments who will be provisioning and deploying the technology. The Warehouse Assistant is also responsible for our logistics activities, such as the consignment of orders or internal stock movements to various locations nationwide. The Warehouse Assistant reports into the Warehouse Operations Team Leader, who is accountable for the entire warehouse operations for our organisation.
Requirements
What you'll do:
- Receive and check incoming goods promptly against delivery documentation, confirming quantities and condition.
- Allocate stock to customer orders or internal inventory accurately and on time.
- Maintain up-to-date stock and client records in internal systems.
- Store goods safely and logically to support efficient picking and dispatch.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer and internal orders for dispatch, ensuring secure and professional presentation.
- Coordinate consignments and deliveries nationwide, including internal stock transfers between sites.
- Liaise with internal teams, distributors and vendors to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Act as a point of contact for logistics-related queries and track shipments, resolving delivery issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and inventory.
- Follow warehouse procedures and safety requirements, contributing to housekeeping and continuous process improvement.
What you'll bring:
- Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Forklift truck operation licence (LF) preferred.
- Basic understanding of IT products and vendors.
- A keen interest in technology and a strong desire to grow your understanding and expertise in the products and solutions we provide.
- A positive attitude and can-do mindset, fostering a one-team-one-dream mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
