Tradeify is a fast-growing futures prop trading company. We run a performance-driven B2C growth engine across paid and organic channels and we are building additional products and sister brands. Our next phase requires transforming our live trading content into premium short-form, medium-form, and long-form video across vertical and horizontal formats to scale our organic reach and audience engagement.
Role Summary
We are hiring a full-time Video Editor to own the transformation of our live stream content into high-performing video content across all formats and platforms. You will be the primary editor responsible for turning 8+ hours of daily live trading content into compelling content for YouTube (our primary distribution platform) and short-form vertical clips for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. This includes medium-length YouTube episodes (5-15 minutes), longer deep-dive content (20+ minutes), and optimized short-form vertical content (15-90 seconds) for social platforms. This role is high-impact and will directly influence our organic growth, audience retention, and content multiplication strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Own the daily editing workflow, reviewing live stream footage to identify and extract high-performing moments for repurposing across multiple formatsEdit and deliver short-form vertical content (15-90 seconds) optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts with platform-specific formatting, captions, and pacingProduce medium-length episodes (5-15 minutes) that package trading insights, market analysis, and educational moments into standalone piecesCreate long-form content (20+ minutes) from extended live stream segments, maintaining narrative flow and viewer engagementDevelop and maintain a visual style guide and editing templates that ensure brand consistency across all content formatsImplement text overlays, captions, lower thirds, graphics, and b-roll to enhance storytelling and accessibilityProactively identify trending moments, viral-worthy clips, and evergreen content opportunities from the live streamManage asset organization, file naming conventions, and version control to maintain clean content librariesOptimize content pacing, retention hooks, and formatting based on platform-specific best practices and performance dataPartner with content strategists to understand performance metrics and iterate on editing approach based on what's working
Required Experience and Skills
3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in content creator, media, or digital-first environmentsExpert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required) and familiarity with the broader Adobe Creative SuiteMust have portfolio demonstrating vertical short-form content, medium-length episodes, and comfort working with live or unscripted source materialDeep understanding of platform-specific requirements and best practices for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube (Shorts and long-form), and TwitterProven ability to identify compelling moments in long-form or live content and extract/repackage them for maximum impactExperience adding motion graphics, text overlays, captions, and light animation (After Effects knowledge a plus)Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and retention, especially in the first 3 secondsAbility to work efficiently under daily deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyComfort receiving performance-based feedback and iterating quickly based on what content is resonating

Ways of Working and Engagement Model
Must have overlap with North American working hours (9am - 5pm ET) and be available for daily coordination and feedbackWork is hands-on and execution-focused, with daily or near-daily content delivery expectationsEarly success (in the first 30-60 days) includes establishing efficient workflows for reviewing and clipping live stream content, delivering consistent short-form vertical content that drives engagement, producing medium and long-form episodes that maintain viewer retention, and developing reusable templates and systems to scale output without sacrificing quality

Video Editing Assessment: Next, you’ll complete a hands-on editing assessment using real footage from our live streams. This step helps us understand how you identify standout moments, tailor content for various platforms, and deliver under realistic timelines.
Final Interview: In the final stage, you’ll meet with the hiring manager and additional team members to review your assessment. We’ll dive deeper into your creative decisions, collaboration style, and overall fit within our content team.
