The Site Manager is responsible for the overall administration of the safety guidelines for the job site and managing the team. This individual is to be a safety leader as well as oversees the overall operation. Work closely and with the customer to ensure their safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all duties of a Safety Representative
- Manage and direct team to maintain customer satisfaction through on-time delivery of services and information – 24/7
- Select, train, and developing operations staff
- Establishes and maintains a positive customer relationship
- Functional excellence leader for the operation (develop, implement, maintain, improve)
- To enable the ongoing development of innovative policies and practices to ensure we are an exemplar within our industry
- Develop and provide appropriate training and education programs to employees
- Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and uphold set company policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Safety Policies
- Carry out procedures that effectively control accident and health exposures at jobsite and minimize OSHA citations while meeting customers’ expectations
- Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design site-specific programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent injuries
- For all warehouse deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies
- Monitors all work for compliance with safety requirements
- Evaluates working conditions and recommends changes in methods and work procedures in relation to safety methods, practices, and procedures
- Disseminates information to staff and others regarding hazards and other safety information
- Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence relative to safe work procedures
- Overall responsible for overseeing P&L and manage against budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Management or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of combined experience in safety and/or operation management or similar roles, preferably in a warehouse or distribution.
- Safety certification as CSP, ASP, CSP, OSHT, or CIH desired
- 30-hour OSHA certification, CPR and First Aid trained preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software
