This role is for a Zonal Sales Manager who will lead and scale sales operations for a specialized pharmaceutical division focused on pain management across the West region. Based in Mumbai, the role carries full ownership of zonal performance, team effectiveness, and market growth. You will work closely with senior leadership to translate business objectives into executable zonal strategies, driving sustainable sales growth while maintaining high ethical and compliance standards.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sales operations for the West Zone, ensuring achievement of primary and secondary sales targets
- Define and execute zonal sales strategies, promotional plans, and market expansion initiatives
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team including RBMs, ABMs, and Medical Representatives
- Strengthen doctor engagement, prescription generation, and territory coverage effectiveness
- Manage distributor relationships and optimize channel performance across the zone
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine sales strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product positioning and execution
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, compliance guidelines, and ethical marketing practices
- Review performance metrics regularly and drive corrective actions where required
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Prior experience as a Zonal Sales Manager or Senior Regional Business Manager handling the West region
- Strong domain exposure to pain management or related therapy areas such as orthopedics, neurology, or dermatology
- Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent results with stable tenure in previous roles
- Proven leadership capability with strong people management, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market data and convert insights into action
