As an Accounts Assistant at Belmond, you are part of a team that is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and reporting for the allocated business units and/or legal entities. In this role, you will assist with end-to-end accounts payable, inventory accounts and bank reconciliations. Reporting to the Junior Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing of all supplier invoices, employee expenses, setting up payment runs and liaising with suppliers.
  • Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for allocated operational business units.
  • Assist in monthly stock taking.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years’ relevant experience within all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering, stock control, journal entry, balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience within the hospitality industry (finance department and/or operations), preferably in a luxury environment is preferable.
  • Ability to follow instructions and to work independently when required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
