We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our Splendido Team.
For this position, you are looking for a manager who will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials, compliance with quality standards, internal procedures, and cost control within a luxury hotel.
He/She will Report to Area Financial Controller.
Main duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the entire warehouse cycle: goods reception, storage, distribution, and inventories.
- Verify the conformity of received goods with orders, delivery notes (DDT), and hotel quality standards.
- Ensure proper product storage according to HACCP regulations, safety standards, and luxury best practices.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels, preventing stockouts or surpluses.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to optimize orders, lead times, and suppliers.
- Manage periodic inventories (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and accounting reconciliations.
- Support cost control, reducing waste, inventory discrepancies, and obsolescence.
- Correctly utilize management systems (ERP / PMS / warehouse software).
- Actively collaborate with operational departments to understand needs and priorities.
- Apply and enforce company procedures and internal policies.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification, qualifications in economics/logistics are a plus.
- Previous experience in the role within 5-star hotels or luxury contexts.
- Knowledge of hotel warehouse flows (F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering).
- Basic knowledge of warehouse accounting and cost control also familiarity with inventory management IT systems.
- Knowledge of HACCP regulations and workplace safety.
- Accuracy, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility with excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Fluent Italian, professional English (written and spoken).
