Responsibilities
As an Agile Delivery Manager with strong QA & Testing experience, you will be responsible for ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery across agile teams, with particular emphasis on testing excellence, quality governance, and release reliability.
You will:
Delivery Leadership & Predictability
- Lead end-to-end delivery within Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid).
- Ensure sprint commitments are realistic, capacity-aware, and aligned with business priorities.
- Monitor delivery health using agile metrics (velocity trends, WIP, cycle time, defect leakage, test coverage).
- Identify and proactively manage delivery risks and cross-team dependencies.
- Escalate systemic impediments while protecting team focus and autonomy.
QA & Testing Governance
- Own and strengthen the testing strategy across projects and teams.
- Ensure quality is embedded in the Definition of Done and consistently applied.
- Oversee test planning, execution, automation, regression cycles, and UAT coordination.
- Monitor defect management processes, root-cause analysis, and quality KPIs.
- Ensure non-functional testing (performance, security, reliability) is appropriately planned and executed.
- Support the evolution of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD quality gates.
- Ensure release readiness from a QA perspective, including smoke testing and production validation.
Agile Process
- Support and enable Agile ceremonies and scaled planning where applicable.
- Ensure testing backlog readiness from a quality perspective (clear acceptance criteria, testability).
- Drive improvements in flow efficiency, integration stability, and test automation maturity.
- Use retrospective insights and delivery data to improve predictability and reduce rework.
- Provide clear, data-informed delivery reporting to business and technical stakeholders.
- Align QA strategy with product roadmap and release milestones.
- Ensure documentation, approvals, and checkpoints are respected across the delivery lifecycle.
- Maintain visibility of technical and testing dependencies across teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT Delivery Management, Agile Delivery, or Technical Project Management.
- Solid prior experience managing and delivering QA and Testing across complex software projects.
- Strong understanding of test lifecycle management (test strategy, test plans, regression cycles, UAT, defect triage).
- Experience or strong knowledge with test automation frameworks and CI/CD quality integration.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and scaled agile delivery.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, system integration, cloud environments, and modern architecture patterns.
- Ability to engage meaningfully with developers, architects, QA engineers, and technical leads.
- Experience identifying and managing risks, dependencies, and blockers in dynamic environments.
- Experience producing structured, clear delivery and quality reports.
- Familiarity with PM and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Asana).
- Strong stakeholder communication and expectation management skills.
- Ability to translate quality metrics into delivery confidence indicators
Nice to Have
- Experience leading QA transformation or automation maturity initiatives.
- Exposure to performance, security, or compliance testing in enterprise environments.
- Experience in scaled delivery models (multiple teams / release trains).
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced).
