Requirements
- Own and lead the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of IT and digital initiatives, spanning infrastructure, application development, cloud migration, system integrations, and data platforms. Ensure consistent delivery performance across projects, and agile team backlogs, with clear accountability for timelines, quality, scope, and outcomes.
- Establish and run portfolio-level governance, including prioritisation, capacity planning, financial tracking, and benefits realisation. Ensure delivery plans are aligned to strategic objectives and that trade-offs between initiatives are explicitly managed.
- Coordinate proposal bidding, preparation and RFP submission and pre-sales activities, working closely with commercial, technical, and partner teams to shape delivery approaches, timelines, resourcing models, cost estimates, and risk assumptions for new proposals aubmission
- Own portfolio financial performance, including budget planning, forecasting, cost control, and variance management.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve the PMO/Delivery framework, including delivery standards, lifecycle checkpoints, reporting cadence, tooling, and decision forums. Ensure consistency while allowing flexibility for Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models where appropriate.
- Act as a senior delivery partner to engineering, architecture, and product leadership, able to engage credibly on technical topics, delivery constraints, dependencies, and architectural trade-offs, without requiring hands-on coding.
- Oversee portfolio-level risk and dependency management, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated proactively, and that cross-project and cross-team dependencies are visible and actively managed.
- Provide executive-level reporting and insights, translating complex delivery data into clear, actionable information for senior stakeholders. Highlight deviations, systemic issues, and proposed corrective actions.
- Lead senior stakeholder engagement across business, technology, and external partners, facilitating decision-making, resolving conflicts, and maintaining alignment at executive level.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing delivery and PMO function, setting clear expectations, developing capability, and embedding a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and outcome-focused delivery.
- Support, drive where necessary, and govern Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery approaches at scale, ensuring teams operate within agreed frameworks while continuously improving flow, predictability, and value delivery.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile/Scrum) are desirable but not required; demonstrable experience leading complex delivery portfolios and PMO functions is essential.
