About the Role
We are seeking an Analyst to join our Performance, Cost Management & Financial ALM unit, and specifically the VBM, Group Budget & Performance Management team. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the Bank’s VBM reporting framework, supporting management reporting through data analysis and BI tools, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of VBM systems and processes. The position also involves building a solid understanding of VBM methodologies and key banking performance concepts to support effective analysis and validation of system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Collect, validate and analyze data from the VBM systems to support the accurate and timely production of management reports.
- Monitor the smooth operation of VBM reporting processes and ensure correct application of VBM methodologies (e.g. profitability, cost allocation, FTP, capital allocation) and key banking performance concepts.
- Identify reporting issues and coordinate their resolution in collaboration with the IT team.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis in response to management requests, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Design and enhance Power BI dashboards and support data models within the VBM framework, improving reporting automation and operational efficiency.
- Document business requirements and ensure that implemented solutions align with agreed functional specifications.
- Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating technical implementation and methodological consistency of system enhancements.
- Participate in strategic transformation projects, including VBM system automation, cloud initiatives and data governance enhancements, contributing to process optimization and reporting modernization.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics or a related field.
- Max 3 years of relevant professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence or related roles, preferably with exposure to the banking sector.
- Strong SQL and ability to work with complex data structures
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, QlikView, SSAS).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Microsoft data technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Platform), and experience in requirement analysis, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional validation, will be considered an asset.
- Exposure to AI-driven analytics or automation tools.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured approach and attention to detail.
