To support client in scaling high-quality, educational content through producing authoritative, customer-centric blog content focused on secondary packaging automation for CPG manufacturers. The writer will help position this client as a trusted advisor throughout every stage of the buyer’s journey.
Profile Overview
The client is expanding their content production significantly. Content will focus on educating buyers in the CPG space (primarily food and beverage, with additional household and industrial sectors) on secondary packaging automation.
The ideal writer will have:
- Strong B2B writing experience
- Background in industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, or technical industries
- Ability to translate complex SME insights into accessible, engaging content
- Comfort conducting SME interviews and asking clarifying technical questions
- Familiarity with StoryBrand 2.0 principles (customer as hero, brand as guide is a plus)
This writer will join client on a content evolution journey, helping refine tone, clarity, and narrative structure while maintaining technical authority.
Scope
- Initial Commitment: 10–15 hours per week (retainer model)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Ongoing collaboration with marketing leadership and subject matter experts
Responsibilities
- Write long-form blog articles (1,000–1,900+ words) for two brands’ Learning Centers
- Conduct SME interviews (approx. 30–45 minutes as needed)
- Translate technical terminology into accessible content without oversimplifying
- Apply StoryBrand 2.0 storytelling principles
- Maintain educational-first focus (SEO is secondary priority)
- Collaborate in review cycles and iterate based on feedback
- Support foundational content that may later be repurposed into guides or checklists
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B writing experience (required)
- Experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, packaging, or related technical industries (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to write for technical yet non-technical audiences
- Experience interviewing subject matter experts
- Familiarity with AI-assisted drafting workflows (human-edited and SME-driven)
- Ability to adapt to evolving brand voice and messaging frameworks
- Understanding of customer-journey-based content strategy
