Business Intelligence Developer
The Job
This role requires a developer with a strong combination of technical, analytical, and programming skills. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in data warehousing, data modelling, ETL processes, advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Azure and PowerBI, along with proficiency in Python. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are required to design and implement efficient and reliable data solutions.
This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is eager to develop their skills in data engineering and business intelligence. The primary purpose of this role is to support our day-to-day data and analytics initiatives that enable the business to better understand and optimise its operations.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve applying your technical knowledge to support a range of ongoing data projects. You will assist in collecting and preparing data to answer business questions and contribute to the development of data models, through to the production of Business Intelligence reports for different departments.
You will contribute to the development and maintenance of data warehouse structures, supporting ETL pipelines to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable data flows. The role involves working with multiple teams to understand data and reporting requirements, assisting in data integration from various sources, validating data quality, and supporting the optimisation and documentation of data processes within the data platform.

You must have a people-oriented personality as you will be working with teams from across the business. You must also be a highly organised, collaborative team player who is meticulous and proactive while being committed and personally motivated to learn.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in the programming language Python
- Experience in database development (data modelling, SQL programming, MS SQL Analysis Service)
- Comfortable in the development of BI cloud solutions (such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Power BI) and ETL tools
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel
