Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical mid-level professional to support business decision-making through data-driven insights. This role blends business analysis, financial analysis, and sales force effectiveness (SFE) within the pharmaceutical sector. The individual will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to drive profitability, optimize sales force performance, and strengthen financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business performance across brands, therapy areas, and geographies
- Develop and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and performance scorecards for management
- Track and improve Sales Force KPIs such as coverage, call average, productivity, CRM usage, and incentive achievement
- Conduct Financial Analysis, including revenue forecasting, variance analysis, P&L insights, and margin monitoring
- Support Budgeting and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes
- Evaluate ROI on marketing campaigns, sales initiatives, CME programs, and digital activities
- Design and support sales incentive plans and SFE frameworks aligned with business priorities
- Work with CRM/SFA tools ( Access - Salesforce App)
- Maintain and monitor payment records in ERP systems for financial tracking
- Analyze payment cycles, receivables, credit periods, and cash flow impact
- Perform profit margin analysis considering schemes, discounts, and trade structures
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for accurate posting, reconciliation, and reporting
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decisions
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, structured manner.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or MBA
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare analytics (preferred)
- Experience in sales force effectiveness, business analytics, financial analysis, or commercial excellence
- Strong understanding of Indian pharmaceutical market dynamics
Financial & ERP Knowledge (Must-Have)
- Understanding of the basic Indian financial system, including:
- invoicing
- GST
- TDS
- credit notes
- payment terms
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally
- Ability to maintain and analyze payment records, profitability, and margin structures
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel (macros, pivots, dashboards, financial modelling)
- Power BI/Tableau/Qlik or similar visualization tools
- Familiarity with CRM/SFA platforms (Salesforce, Veeva, or similar)
- Working knowledge of SQL/R/Python is an added advantage
