Our client, a well-established guest services enterprise operating in Puerto Rico, is searching for a dynamic and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer to strengthen their executive leadership team. This opportunity allows the right professional to influence fiscal strategy, drive operational efficiencies, and champion business development in a vibrant and progressive environment. The ideal professional will possess a distinguished history of financial stewardship, robust commercial expertise, and competency in navigating both Puerto Rican and U.S. federal regulatory landscapes.

Core Duties

  • Spearhead the development and execution of fiscal strategies, annual budgets, financial projections, and analytical models aligned with corporate objectives
  • Champion ongoing enhancement of accounting procedures, technology platforms, and analytical reporting functions
  • Build, coach, and strengthen the finance department to enhance organizational competency and performance
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, lending facilities, and capital funding agreements
  • Supervise comprehensive financial functions encompassing general ledger management, FP&A activities, cash management, tax adherence, and governance frameworks
  • Deliver strategic fiscal guidance while collaborating with executive colleagues to advance corporate priorities and sustainable expansion plans
  • Partner with operational leaders across the organization to deliver financial intelligence that shapes strategic choices
  • Maintain adherence to all applicable federal, commonwealth, and municipal legal obligations, including jurisdiction-specific tax advantage initiatives
  • Coordinate audit engagements and cultivate productive partnerships with independent auditors and professional consultants
  • Direct fiscal risk mitigation, liquidity enhancement, and investment allocation approaches
  • Produce precise and prompt financial documentation, analytical reports, and executive briefings for key stakeholders and management

Requirements

  • Demonstrated achievement in comprehensive financial planning, budget creation, and performance forecasting
  • Extensive familiarity with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial disclosure standards, and regulatory adherence
  • Proven background in the service sector or comparable industries
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking, and judgment capabilities
  • 10 or more years of advancing finance leadership responsibilities, including a minimum of five years in executive finance capacity (CFO, Finance VP, or Controller level)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commonwealth tax legislation, economic incentive schemes, and commercial regulations
  • Competency with financial management systems, enterprise resource planning solutions, and sophisticated spreadsheet applications
  • Track record managing fiscal operations for enterprises generating $50M or greater in annual revenue
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish languages (oral and written communication)
  • Strong leadership qualities with documented success cultivating and directing exceptional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Thorough understanding of federal and U.S. taxation statutes, regulatory frameworks, and compliance mandates
  • Active CPA, CMA, or comparable professional credential
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating sophisticated financial concepts for non-finance audiences

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Act 60 provisions (previously Acts 20/22) and additional Puerto Rico economic development programs
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Finance, Accounting, or related concentration
  • Track record implementing or enhancing ERP infrastructure and financial technology solutions
  • Professional services firm or advisory consulting background
  • Experience with corporate transactions, financial due diligence, or organizational integration projects
  • Prior engagement with private equity firms, institutional investors, or governing boards
  • Exposure to multi-site or multi-entity corporate frameworks

Benefits
