Chief of Staff (Xora Portfolio Company)
The Chief of Staff at Nexstrom is a founder-support, execution-focused role designed to help the CEO operate at maximum leverage. This is not a ceremonial or purely administrative role—it is a high-ownership position for someone who wants to sit at the center of a deep-tech startup, driving execution across strategy, operations, fundraising, and key partnerships.
You will act as the CEO’s right hand—turning ideas into action, ensuring priorities move forward, and helping Nexstrom scale from an early venture into a category-defining company.
Responsibilities
1. CEO & Founder Support
- Act as the CEO’s execution partner—helping translate strategy into concrete actions
- Prepare, structure, and follow up on key meetings with investors, partners, customers, and advisors
- Track CEO priorities and ensure critical initiatives don’t stall
- Help manage communication with board, shareholders, and key stakeholders
2. Strategic Execution
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that cut across engineering, business, and partnerships
- Break down big goals into milestones, owners, and timelines
- Monitor progress, remove blockers, and escalate issues early
- Support fundraising, partnerships, and strategic projects as needed
3. Company Operations & Rhythm
- Help build operating cadence: weekly priorities, monthly reviews, milestone tracking
- Support hiring, onboarding, and early team culture building
- Assist in building lightweight systems for planning, reporting, and execution
- Ensure alignment between technical, commercial, and corporate tracks
4. Special Projects
- Take ownership of high-priority projects directly from the CEO
- Support investor materials, board decks, strategic memos, and external communications
- Step into ambiguous, high-impact problems and drive them to resolution
Ideal Profile
- 5–10 years experience in startups, venture, consulting, operations, or deep-tech environments, preferences with prior experiences dealing in a semiconductor-related industry ( WFE, IDM, Foundries, Advanced Materials)
- Strong execution mindset — can move from strategy to action fast
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities
- Excellent communication, structuring, and follow-through
- Trusted, discreet, and possesses high-integrity
- Strong interest in technology, startups, and venture building
