We’re looking for a highly adaptable and execution-focused Compliance Liaison Manager to help bridge Compliance with cross-functional teams across Cardless. This role is designed to support our growing credit card programs by ensuring customer issues, operational challenges, and compliance risks are addressed quickly and effectively. As a Compliance Liaison Manager, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating across Compliance, Engineering, Ops, CX, and Risk to drive resolution of high-impact issues. You’ll operate at the center of the business—triaging problems, leading cross-functional efforts, and helping teams move from reactive issue handling to more sustainable, scalable processes. This is a hands-on, dynamic role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is comfortable stepping into different areas of the business as needed.

Support Complaint & Customer Issue Management
Partner with internal teams to investigate and resolve customer complaints and regulatory inquiries
Help improve workflows and processes for managing critical complaints and escalations

Provide coverage across compliance functions during periods of high volume or team bandwidth constraints
Lead and Operationalize Projects

Drive initiatives from problem identification through execution and stabilization
Strengthen Controls and Processes
Identify gaps in current workflows and help implement scalable, sustainable solutions
Help shift teams from reactive issue handling to proactive control development
Act as a Compliance Connector

Requirements
4–7+ years of experience in compliance, operations, risk, or a related function within fintech, banking, or payments
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, or customer support teams
Solid understanding of consumer financial products (credit cards, lending, or payments preferred)
Familiarity with regulatory areas such as Reg Z, Reg B, UDAAP, FCRA, and AML/BSA is a plus
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels
Bonus Points
Experience in credit card issuing or co-branded programs
Exposure to fraud, dispute handling, or customer complaint management
Experience building or improving operational workflows and controls
Interest in working at the intersection of compliance, product, and operations
Before You Apply
A few things worth knowing:
We work in the office 5 days a week. We know that's a dealbreaker for some people, and that's okay.
This is an early-stage company. We're ~40 people servicing hundreds of thousands of customers. You'll be building processes that don't exist yet, not optimizing ones that do. If you want structure handed to you, this isn't the right fit.
You'll need to be highly self-directed. There isn’t a playbook for this role, and you won’t get daily check-ins. We’re looking for someone who sees what’s broken or missing, takes ownership, and follows through without being asked.
The pace is intense and this role is hands-on. We have aggressive goals and a lot to build — this isn't a 9-to-5 quiet, maintenance-mode compliance job—you’ll be in the middle of everything.
If that scared you off, no hard feelings. If it got you excited, keep reading.
Why this Role is cool:
Opportunity for high growth
High autonomy + ownership culture
Be a part of a well-respected compliance team and culture
