We're looking for a hands-on Content Marketer who thinks beyond writing. You understand how content fits into growth funnels, obsess over performance data, and know how to build systems that scale. If you're comfortable using tools like Claude Code and n8n to automate and ship faster, this role is for you.
Salary Range: $50,000–$120,000/year (Range shown is global. Compensation is adjusted based on your country's cost of living — major U.S. cities will be at the higher end of the range. You can explore how we calculate this here: https://www.firecrawl.dev/careers/compensation.)
Equity Range: Up to 0.05%
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) OR Remote
Job Type: Full-Time (SF) OR Contract (Remote)
Experience: 2+ years in content or growth marketing
Visa: US Citizenship/Visa required for SF; N/A for Remote
Firecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. In just a year, we've hit 8 figures in ARR and 80k+ GitHub stars by building the fastest way for developers to get LLM-ready data.
We're a small, fast-moving, technical team building essential infrastructure super-intelligence will use to gather data on the web. We ship fast and deep.
Research, draft, and publish in-house content across formats (blog posts, email, video, and more) for both product launches and evergreen campaigns
Track content performance and feed insights back into strategy alongside the broader marketing team
Build agentic workflows to automate technical SEO tasks at scale
Own competitive intelligence — tracking competitor feature releases, PR activity, and content strategy shifts
Manage and coordinate a roster of freelance writers
Support product marketing with collateral as needed
Work closely with product and engineering to get ahead of launches and quickly turn new capabilities into useful, accurate content
Develop a deep understanding of our product so everything you publish is credible and genuinely helpful to the audience
A strong, adaptable writer who can go deep or go wide. You can write developer-focused content like blog posts, newsletters, and guides — going deep on technical topics or pulling back to plain language depending on the audience.
Someone who understands the funnel. You know how content maps to a B2B funnel and have created material that supports pipeline and deal progression, not just awareness. You've moved metrics, not just published pages.
Data-savvy and insight-driven. You use analytics to drive decisions, not just report on them. You track what works, kill what doesn't, and double down with conviction.
Hands-on with AI search and AEO. You have real experience with Answer Engine Optimization and understand how AI-native search is reshaping content discovery.
Technically capable and tool-fluent. You're comfortable using Claude Code, n8n, and similar tools to build workflows and move fast without always needing engineering support. You automate what should be automated.
Fast to ramp on complex products. You learn by working directly with product and engineering teams. You don't wait for a brief — you go find the information yourself.
Reliable under pressure. You can juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines without letting quality slip.
Writers who only write. If your process ends at "publish," this isn't it. We need someone who thinks about distribution, performance, and iteration as much as the first draft.
People who need perfect briefs to get started. If you can't ship without a detailed content calendar handed to you, you'll be frustrated here. You own the strategy and the execution.
Marketers who avoid data. If you'd rather go with your gut than open a dashboard, this isn't the right fit. We measure everything.
We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we're building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn't, no hard feelings — but this role probably isn't for you.
