The Data Analyst is primarily responsible for partnering with ministry and operational leaders across Life.Church to transform data into strategic insights. This role delivers deep analytical insights, balanced perspectives, and clear recommendations that create confidence in decision-making at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
The Data Analyst builds technical proficiency, analytical rigor, and fosters stakeholder collaboration to execute independent analytical projects, support strategic framing, and partner with stakeholders effectively. The Data Analyst provides data solutions that equip teams and ministries to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.

The Finance Team partners with the organization to facilitate the financial reporting needs of Life.Church, including payroll, accounts payable, giving operations, accounting, forecasting, and data analytics. We equip the organization with the tools needed to plan for, understand, and steward the resources God has provided for our ministry.
What You’ll Do
Guide analytics beyond presentation to clarify trends, tradeoffs, and implications for action.Create tools and dashboards that present data in a clear and compelling way with consistent definitions.Conduct comprehensive cross-functional data analysis to uncover trends and insights.Build and maintain analytical tools that support recurring ministry processes (forecasting, health metrics, performance tracking).Design, enhance, and optimize Tableau dashboards and visualizations, collaborating with data engineers on underlying data structure improvements as needed.Translate analytics projects into clear technical requirements.Lead discovery conversations with stakeholders at various levels to seek understanding, develop solutions, and identify areas of analytical exploration.Partner with leaders to design analytical deliverables (dashboards, reports, frameworks) that address recurring strategic questions and support ongoing decision-making.Collaborate on long-term and short-term forecast development across several domains.Collaborate with internal and external teams on data initiatives, integrations, and other system focused needs.
Skills Needed to Succeed
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.Ability to clearly explain complex analyses in concise, accessible ways.Frame cross-functional analysis strategically and deliver actionable insights.Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.Ability to translate analytics projects into technical requirements.Self-motivated with ability to take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.Ability to collaborate in team environment and work independently.Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.1-3 years of experience in financial planning, data analysis or business intelligence or demonstrated technical proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and/or data visualization tools.
