ELEKS DevOps Office is looking for a DevOps Engineering Expert in Washington, D.C..
ABOUT CLIENT
We are currently in the discovery phase of a large-scale modernization initiative. The project aims to transform an existing monolithic enterprise system into a modern, scalable, cloud-based architecture within the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Azure environment.
The core objective is modernization: migrating and rebuilding a complex legacy system into a secure, high-performance, and future-ready cloud solution.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years as a DevOps engineer
Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Jenkins CI/CD tools for building, testing, and deploying software applications
Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Azure infrastructure and application-related issues
Direct experience with the United States Department of Energy (DOE) preferred (strong federal experience without DOE may also be considered)
This role requires eligibility to work on U.S. federal government projects (U.S. citizenship required per contract terms)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Advanced level of English
Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week (Monday–Friday)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and build infrastructure within the DOE Azure environment
Contribute to modernization of a legacy monolithic system
Help define the future DevOps and cloud architecture standards
Collaborate closely with a full ELEKS engineering team and client stakeholders
