Job Title: Director of Revenue Accounting
Position Summary:
The Director of Revenue Accounting will lead revenue recognition and revenue operations in a high-growth, multi-entity environment. This role owns ASC 606 compliance, revenue close, audit support, and scalable revenue processes within NetSuite. The position partners closely with FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Operations to ensure accurate contract review, billing alignment, and revenue automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Own revenue recognition policies and ASC 606 complianceLead monthly revenue close, deferred revenue, and related reconciliationsAnalyze and improve Work in Progress (WIP) processes to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting policiesImprove automation in revenue recognition and reportingServe as primary revenue contact for external auditorsOptimize revenue processes within NetSuite (required)Partner cross-functionally to improve deal structure and billing accuracyLead and develop the revenue accounting teamEnhance scalability for high-growth environments
Required Qualifications:
Active CPA (required)8+ years of progressive accounting experienceDeep expertise in revenue accounting and ASC 606NetSuite ERP experience (required)Experience in multi-entity, high-growth environmentsPrior audit and people leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Sage Intacct experienceServices, or complex contract revenue experienceSOX and M&A experience
Compensation: USD $140,000 - $165,000 per year.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
