Next Phase Solutions and Services is seeking a DevSecOps & Platform Operations Lead to support a large-scale federal cloud modernization initiative focused on secure, automated, and resilient data and analytics platforms.
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud-native CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code automation, and secure deployment practices supporting enterprise analytics and operational mission systems. You will ensure that data platforms are scalable, observable, compliant, and aligned with federal security and governance requirements.
This opportunity is well-suited for professionals who have supported secure federal cloud environments and understand the operational demands of high-volume case management or adjudication systems.
This position supports a federal program and is contingent upon contract award and funding.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native analytics platforms
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Establish automated testing frameworks (BDD/TDD/ATDD) within DevSecOps pipelines
- Integrate security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance controls into deployment workflows
- Ensure production observability, logging, and monitoring across AWS environments
- Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes/EKS
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and ML teams to enable secure platform operations
- Align platform operations with federal governance, ICAM, and data protection requirements
- Drive continuous improvement of automation, reliability, and security posture
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or cloud operations roles
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments
- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Experience supporting containerized environments (Kubernetes, EKS)
- Experience implementing automated testing within deployment pipelines
- Experience integrating security scanning and compliance controls into DevSecOps workflows
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools in production cloud environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting USCIS or other DHS component cloud modernization initiatives
- Experience operating platforms supporting high-volume case management or adjudication systems
- Expertise with Databricks platform integration and analytics environments
- Experience working within federal governance, ICAM, and secure data access frameworks
- AWS Professional or DevOps certifications

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- CISSP or related security certification

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload based on the needs of the client
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent technical writing skills and proven experience in systems with complex requirements
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to team with others to meet project objectives
- Understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile; SAFe knowledge a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to navigate in an office setting unassisted
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- Strong speaking skills, including the ability to articulate thoughts in a clear manner and excellent word enunciation skills, are required
