Field Service Engineer
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support and field service for our analytical instruments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring instrument performance, customer satisfaction, and the identification of commercial opportunities through proactive service engagement.
- Provide technical support to customers via phone and email.
- Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs of instruments.
- Evaluate malfunctioning instruments and prepare cost estimates for repairs.
- Conduct factory calibrations to ensure instruments meet performance standards.
- Deliver on-site customer training on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Accurately document all support tickets and service orders in the CRM service module.
- Manage personal warehouse/stock to ensure availability of necessary spare parts and tools.
- Identify and forward sales opportunities to commercial representatives, particularly when equipment replacement is required.
- Attend all required Anton Paar technical service trainings for the respective product lines.
Qualifications
- Experience in hardware support, preventive maintenance, or repair of analytical instruments.
- Experience in roles involving direct customer interaction.
- Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and client support skills.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid U.S. visa, desirable.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 75%.
- Immediate availability.
