The Role
We are seeking a Finance Operations Associate to join our rapidly growing team. This is an opportunity to join the Candex Operations team and make a significant impact at a rapidly growing global fintech company. This position will report to the Finance Operations Manager. This is a key role in delivering supreme support and service to our customers. You will be a valuable resource throughout the payment process and a crucial point of contact for our customers. If you have excellent interpersonal and communication expertise, strong writing and analytical skills and a desire to leverage your knowledge of fintech and payments; this opportunity is a perfect fit.
Responsibilities
Review vendor invoices received ensuring their accuracy and timeliness
Send out client invoices ensuring they are accurate and compliant
Work with customers to correct payment details provided or to obtain any missing information
Providing daily vendor support related to the billing process (email and phone, domestic and international)
Working with overseas teams to handle operations outside of Japan
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or accounting preferred
Fluent/business-level or above Japanese language skills (spoken, spoken, and written)
Business-level English skills (used for emails and online meetings) )
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Tech savvy and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
Self-starter with a sense of speed, accuracy, responsibility, and the ability to work independently
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to change
Attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct numerical errors and discrepancies
Flexibility to adapt to global work schedules (time zones)
Team worker who can achieve goals through collaboration (Note: The Japan branch is a small, elite team of six people, so quick responses and proactive communication are important)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of invoice systems, consumption tax, and withholding tax
Experience working at a multinational corporation
Work experience in a financial institution or payment industry
