About the role
Portfolio Analyses is Finary’s signature format that helped us get widely known across the French speaking investing community. We’re looking for a Videographer who will take full ownership of this format and raise the bar on every episode.
You will own Portfolio Analysis end-to-end — from shoot to final export. This includes:
• Production: setting up and capturing high-quality footage (framing, lighting, sound)
• Post-production: editing, pacing, storytelling, color grading, and sound design
Beyond execution, you’ll bring creative vision: proposing new narrative structures, visual treatments, and pacing experiments to increase retention, engagement, and conversion.
This is not a “content factory” role — every video matters, and you’ll see the direct impact of your work on business metrics.
You’d be a great fit if you
Master Premiere Pro and After Effects at an expert level
Are capable of owning a shoot end-to-end: framing, lighting, sound recording, and setup
Have strong storytelling instincts: you understand pacing, tension, and how to retain attention frame by frame
Are highly autonomous — you can take minimal briefs and turn them into high-quality outputs
Have a sharp eye for detail across image, sound, and storytelling
Understand (or are eager to master) what makes content perform on YouTube: hooks, retention, rhythm
Can handle full production when needed: framing, lighting, and sound recording
Are fluent in French and comfortable working in English
Are genuinely interested in personal finance and investing — ideally, you invest your own money
Care deeply about the quality of your project files and workflows (clean, structured, scalable)
This role is not for you if
You need constant direction and struggle to work independently
You treat editing as execution-only and don’t bring creative ideas to improve the format
Your project files are disorganized or difficult for others to pick up
You don’t care about the subject matter and have no interest in finance or investing
Premiere Pro is not your main editing tool
You are not comfortable working in both French and English
Bonus points if you
Have edited YouTube videos that reached 500K+ views
Deeply understand YouTube mechanics (CTR, retention curves, thumbnails/title interplay)
Have experience integrating data visualization into video content
Have worked with top-tier creator ecosystems, production companies, or media brands (e.g. YouTube-native studios, agencies, post-production houses)
Are already familiar with Sony production gear
Have worked on content formats where performance metrics directly informed creative decisions
