Job description
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, proactive hunter responsible for identifying and creating new qualified opportunities within the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) market. Reporting to the Leadership team, you will be the engine of our growth, focusing on outbound prospecting, qualifying inbound leads, and building a robust pipeline to ensure long-term revenue success
Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Sales & Pipeline Ownership
Drive topline growth by owning the entire sales journey—from initial account-based targeting and prospecting to closing deals and celebrating client wins.
- Identify High-Potential Leads: Spot opportunities ranging from agile startups to growth-stage tech firms and local brands hungry for scalable acquisition.
- Targeted Outreach: Craft and execute bold outbound campaigns using Clay, Lemlist, and modern automation tools, blending data with your own creativity to spark action.
- Multichannel Engagement: Confidently connect with decision-makers through a strategic mix of cold calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn, and your unique social selling style.
Strategic Conversion & Relationship Building
Turn curiosity into long-term partnerships by acting as a trusted advisor to prospective clients.
- Inbound Mastery: Rapidly qualify interest from inbound leads, building the trust necessary to convert them into loyal partners.
- Exceed Targets: Consistently hit and surpass monthly revenue and activity KPIs with the full support of a team invested in your professional growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Onboarding
Work at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and Ops to ensure the "client win" is just the beginning.
- Seamless Handoffs: Partner with Marketing to refine messaging and work with Ops to deliver delightful onboarding experiences for new clients.
- CRM Excellence: Maintain meticulous records in the CRM to ensure accurate forecasting and a transparent "source of truth" for the management team.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Act as our eyes and ears on the ground to help us win the ANZ market.
- Landscape Expertise: Execute outreach plans specifically tailored to the nuances of the Australia and New Zealand business landscape.
- Feedback Loop: Share real-time market insights and "on-the-ground" feedback to help us iterate on our product, refine our pitch, and evolve our sales playbook.
Requirements
Sales Pedigree & The "Hunter" Instinct
- Proven Track Record: 2–3+ years of success in high-growth Business Development or Sales, specifically managing the full sales cycle from cold prospect to closed-won.
- Outbound Mastery: You are a true hunter. Cold calling, strategic email sequencing, and social selling aren't just tasks - they are your "zone of genius."
- The "Art of the Deal": You are a persuasive communicator and a sharp negotiator who can build immediate trust and close with confidence.
Market & Regional Expertise
- ANZ Landscape: You have a deep understanding of the Australia & New Zealand media buying ecosystem and a finger on the pulse of local business trends.
- Relationship First: You thrive on connecting dots and solving complex problems to drive tangible value for your partners.
The Modern Sales Tech Stack
- Data-Driven & Tech-Savvy: You don't just "use" tools; you leverage them to win. You have hands-on experience with:
- CRM & Ops: HubSpot (or equivalent), Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Outbound Automation: Clay and Lemlist.
- Efficiency: AI tools and reporting dashboards to optimise your workflow and forecasting.
Collaborative Mindset & Mobility
- Cross-Functional Player: Proven experience driving results by partnering with Marketing, Product, and Ops teams to create a seamless client experience.
- On the Move: You’re ready to travel when the deal calls for it, representing Oppizi in person to solidify key relationships.
- Education: A degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales- or a decorated "graduate" of the School of Hard Knocks. (An advanced degree is a nice bonus).
Benefits
- Financial Growth & Security: Competitive Base + Uncapped Commission: High-reward structure designed for high-performers.
- Superannuation: 11.5% employer contribution (increasing to 12% by July 2026) paid directly to your fund.
- Stock Options: Potential for equity or stock ownership, ensuring you share in the company’s long-term success. 1 Year Cliff
- Hybrid Work Model: Work from our Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane hub or your home office - we prioritise outcomes over "desk time."
- Right to Disconnect: We respect your boundaries; no expectation of after-hours calls or emails unless it’s a true ANZ emergency.
- Work from Anywhere: Occasional "remote weeks" allowing you to work from different locations across ANZ or globally.
- Annual Leave: 4 weeks of Annual Leave, plus an extra "Birthday Leave" day and "Wellbeing Days" for mental health.
- Volunteer Days: Two paid days per year to support a cause or charity you are passionate about.
