We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Software Development Engineer (SDE-2) to join a growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and scaling backend systems while contributing to end-to-end product development. You will work on enhancing existing products initially and, over time, take ownership of new experiments and product initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, learns quickly, and is comfortable working across the stack to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. A passion for technology, problem-solving, and building impactful user experiences is essential.

• Designing technical architecture and solutions
• Planning execution timelines
• Collaborating with product, design, and engineering stakeholders
• Delivering features within defined deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Design & Architecture

• Design scalable, robust backend systems following best practices
• Drive code reusability, maintainability, and system reliability

Development

• Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript (NestJS) and Python
• Develop, enhance, and optimize features across products
• Own deployment pipelines using CI/CD, containers, and cloud infrastructure
• Select and implement optimal cloud architectures

Testing & Quality

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability
• Implement and improve automated testing frameworks

Performance Optimization

• Identify bottlenecks and optimize backend and system performance
• Participate in code reviews and performance profiling

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, design docs, APIs, and release notes
• Document architecture decisions and development processes

Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)

Frontend Ownership

• Contribute to frontend performance improvements
• Think holistically about end-to-end system optimization

Mentorship

• Guide and mentor interns
• Help distribute tasks and review work within the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (mandatory)
• 2+ years of full-time professional experience in full stack development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python
• Working knowledge of Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
• Experience with Next.js, Prisma (SQL), Airflow, Grafana is a plus
• Understanding of software design principles and patterns (e.g., SOLID)
• Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools and debugging generated code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
