Eleving Group seeks a highly responsible and organized leader to be the General Manager of Blue Rock – one with the utmost standards of integrity, rigor, and diligence to lead the company to the highest levels of achievement and prosperity.
The General Manager will lead and operate Blue Rock as a trading special purpose vehicle that purchases 2- and 3-wheel vehicles and related assets from suppliers (primarily TVS and Bajaj) and coordinates with financiers to enable customer lending, ensuring efficient procurement, compliant operations, and profitable inventory turnover. Ensure statutory compliance and fiduciary responsibilities are upheld to the highest levels of integrity.
Strategic & operational leadership: Own day-to-day operations, set operational priorities, and implement processes to meet sales, margin, and inventory targets.
Procurement & supplier management: Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and credit with TVS, Bajaj, and other suppliers; manage supplier performance and dispute resolution.
Inventory & logistics: Oversee purchasing, warehousing, quality checks, stock reconciliation, and distribution to clients or partner outlets.
Sales & client handover: Coordinate with Mogo sales/credit teams to ensure timely delivery of financed assets and resolve delivery/quality issues.
Finance, taxes & compliance: Ensure accurate bookkeeping, VAT and import duty compliance, timely tax filings, and adherence to Tanzanian trade and corporate regulations.
People management: Recruit, train, and manage Blue Rock staff; set KPIs; conduct performance reviews; and make hiring/firing decisions.
Risk & asset recovery: Implement asset tagging, tracking, and repossession support processes in coordination with Mogo’s credit team.
Reporting & governance: Provide weekly/monthly operational and financial reports to the CEO; maintain corporate governance and audit readiness.
Cost control & profitability: Drive margin improvement through cost negotiation, process efficiencies, and inventory turnover optimization.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional qualification preferred.
7+ years of operations or General Management experience in trading, vehicle distribution, or FMCG
Experience with 2/3-wheeler distribution or automotive supply chains strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Tanzanian import, tax, and trade regulations.
Proven track record in supplier negotiations, inventory management, and P&L responsibility.
Commercial acumen, negotiation, leadership, and people management.
Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
Proficiency with ERP/inventory systems and MS Excel.
High integrity, decisive, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
