Our Future Health is the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing together 5 million volunteers to create the most detailed picture of people's health and how it evolves over time. Our data will enable researchers to discover new ways to detect, prevent and treat disease earlier and more effectively.
To ensure this research is truly beneficial to everyone, our data must reflect the true diversity of the entire UK population.
Our Head of Community Engagement leads our work engaging with communities who have historically been underrepresented in health research, driving forward our participant diversity strategy.
As Head of Community Engagement, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing and delivering innovative ways to reach and engage communities across the UK.
You will embed diversity into participant recruitment and engagement strategies, drive internal and external collaboration, and pilot and scale initiatives that make participation in research more inclusive. You’ll combine strategic leadership, data-driven insight and partnership working to ensure our programme truly reflects the people it aims to serve.
You will:
- Own the vision and strategy for participant diversity and community engagement across Our Future Health.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
- Driving the design, delivery and continuous evolution of the participant diversity strategy.

- Using data, analytics and insight to monitor cohort diversity at a strategic level.
- Leading cross-organisational alignment on diversity priorities.
- Building and overseeing high-impact external partnerships and relationships.
